Order of the Afternoon

We invite you to join us for a meaningful and relaxed afternoon of remembrance.

  • 1:00–2:00 PM – Guests arrive, enjoy a smörgåsbord (a swedish style buffet), and connect with one another
  • 2:00–2:30 PM – Pastor Paul Judson (Beth’s brother and LaFayne’s son) will share a few words to open the time of remembrance
  • 2:30–4:00 PM – An open time for anyone who wishes to speak or share a memory, including those joining via Zoom
  • 4:00–5:00 PM – Dessert, final goodbyes, and closing connections

A Zoom link will be available for those joining virtually. While the Zoom will be open throughout, we recommend logging in between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, when most of the formal sharing will take place.

We may also gather for a group photo during dessert, so please don’t slip away too early if you’d like to be included.

Food & Refreshments

Food will be served from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, with dessert and coffee served from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.  Catered by Blue Coast Burrito. Non-alcoholic refreshments will be provided throughout the Celebration.

Proverbs 31:25–31 (NKJV)

25 Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.” 30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her own works praise her in the gates.
